Evisense

B Squared came to us in 2018, looking to redevelop their Evisense mobile apps in native technology for iOS, Android and Amazon. Evisense is a revolutionary pupil evidence and teacher to guardian communication tool, designed to capture events in a child’s journey throughout their education via photos, videos and documents. Whilst popular with teachers for moderation and assessment purposes, they were often left frustrated with the processes, which were also costly and time consuming. B Squared quickly realised their mobile apps could and should be used to fix all these sticking points.

Working closely with B Squared, teachers and guardians, we re-wrote the Evisense iOS, Android and Amazon apps from the ground up to take them to the next level.

This social media style solution allows its users to easily view recent posts, along with the ability to like and comment, and see which aspects and assessment links the post is associated with. It’s an easy and engaging way to view pupil’s educational progress and achievements.

Recording evidence is an important process within the education industry. The app allows teachers to quickly capture images, video and audio of key events which are encrypted and then uploaded in the background to secure servers. The app is time effective in completing these tasks and achieves a smooth and seamless user experience.

The Gallery offers a simple and visually appealing way for teachers, guardians and pupils to view all their evidence quickly and really brings a pupil’s successes to life.

Using encryption and privacy permissions, access to posts and information within the app is restricted. Teachers, guardians and pupils are safe in the knowledge that any evidence posted is not stored on device and is only seen by them and approved user groups. We also included a multi-user PIN login to add an extra level of security, especially useful within schools where one device is shared between multiple teachers.

The Evisense apps are being used by teachers, pupils and guardians up and down the country, and since being released, we have worked with B Squared to release the Evisense AU apps in Australia and New Zealand.

The feedback is very positive, with strong app ratings for all platforms.
